Here at the Clearwater Regional Chamber there are a variety of ways to keep in touch with your business community. Joining a committee can be informative and rewarding!
The work of this committee culminates with the Annual Meeting. Nominations are sought for the various award categories and reviewed by committee members.
Chamber members and staff are active in Economic Development. We work closely with the City of Clearwater Economic Development and Pinellas County Economic Development Departments. We provide resources to help those seeking information on how to start a business and expand their business. Assistance with questions regarding city, county and state business regulations can also be found with this group.
The Small Business Administration (SBA), who provides information about SBA loans and their other services, offers business seminars. SCORE, a voluntary free counseling service, partners with the Chamber and the Small Business Development Center to provide information to businesses.
This committee allows members that take interest in the political process to become more actively involved in issues and legislation. Many of these issues impact business in our community. As a result, committee members identify key issues and establish a legislative agenda. They advocate and educate to better prepare business owners and policy makers with an ultimate goal of a more business-friendly environment.
This committee organizes all of our largest special events including the most noteworthy Annual Meeting, Old Florida event & others.
The mission of this committee is strengthen relationships between the Clearwater Regional Chamber and the area's active-duty, reserve, veteran and retired military community and associate volunteer organizations. As a result, this committee constantly focuses on what we as a membership can do to support the over 100,000 veterans within our footprint.
This committee coordinates the nomination, interview and selection process of the Chamber's most prestigious award Mr./Ms. Clearwater. Consequently this award is presented annually to an individual(s) in the greater Clearwater area who contributes to the community through volunteerism, leadership and philanthropy.
This committee promotes Clearwater as a year round tourist destination, offering educational and promotional opportunities for its members’ benefit. Meetings take place every 6 weeks and are geared to general managers/owners, hospitality sales and marketing executives. A guest speaker will address issues that relate to the hospitality industry and members discuss industry trends and data.
